The 13 key terms
- 1Share button
- The button you click to choose who can open your file and what they can do: view, comment or edit. You can share by link or invite named people by email, and remove access later.
- 2Suggesting mode
- A setting where your edits show as proposed changes, not final ones. The file owner can accept or reject each one, and comments can be resolved when finished.
- 3Version history
- A list of earlier saved versions of a shared file. It shows who changed what and when, so you can name a version or restore an older one.
- 4Think before you post
- Before sharing online, get permission from anyone shown in your photo or video, check who can see it, and use kind, respectful words. Report harmful content.
- 5platform
- A website or service where you publish content. Each one gives a different audience and level of control, so choose one that suits your purpose, audience, privacy needs and school rules.
- 6task list
- A list of small tasks, each with a clear outcome, written in the order they must be done. It breaks a big project into steps you can plan, time and tick off.
- 7milestone
- A checkpoint on a project timeline, such as a due date for a key task, that shows whether your project is on schedule.
- 8task tracker
- A table or board that lists each task with its owner and status (Not started, In progress or Done), so the team can see who is doing what and how the project is going.
- 9team roles
- Each member of a team project takes a role with agreed jobs, so the work is shared fairly and nothing gets missed.
- 10iteration
- Making a version, testing it, getting feedback and improving it, then repeating the cycle until it does its job. Save numbered versions and change one thing at a time.
- 11present a design
- To show your sketch, explain how each part helps the user, and ask others for feedback. Listen to what they say so you can improve your design.
- 12modify a design
- Change one thing in your design, like size, position or wording, because of feedback. Then check it again. Change one thing at a time and save each version.
- 13evaluate
- To check how well your solution works by testing it against the requirements, asking users to try it, and deciding what to improve. Be honest about any problems.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an account?
No. Hangman runs straight from this page — no account, no sign-up, nothing to install. If you add your class names, they are saved in your own browser and never sent to Cloodit.
How do I play it with my class?
Put the page on your whiteboard or projector and press Play. The class calls out letters and you click or type them. Six wrong letters and the word gets away. After every word its definition appears, so each round ends on the meaning, not just the spelling.
Can I use my own words?
Yes. The free Hangman generator at cloodit.com/hangman/ takes any list: one word or phrase per line, with a definition after a dash if you want it shown at the end of the round.
Can I put my students' names in?
Yes. Add your class list and a random student is called for each word. The list stays in this browser on this computer, so it is still there next lesson.
Are the worksheets free too?
Yes. Every module in this journey has a free printable worksheet with a full answer key, and there are crosswords and word searches built from the same key terms.
