Responsibility in an evaluation strategy
In an evaluation strategy, it names who carries out and reports on each evaluation task, such as the developer, the client or user, or an independent reviewer.
Understanding Responsibility in an evaluation strategy in VCE Data Analytics U4O1
What it does: The client or user knows the needs best, so they are named as responsible for judging this task. The strategy row pairs a task with the named person who carries it out and reports on it. The client or user will actually use the solution, so their view of usability and fitness for purpose matters most. An independent reviewer is not involved in building the solution, so they can give a fair and objective check. A clear strategy names a specific person or role. Vague entries such as 'someone' mean no one is accountable. The task should name an independent reviewer so the judgement is unbiased.
Common mistakes: A responsibility must name a specific person or group. 'Everyone' means nobody is accountable. It should name one role, such as 'Responsibility: Developer'. A responsibility names who does the task, not when. 'Friday' is a date. The line should name a person or group, such as 'Responsibility: Client'.
