Understanding Mobile communications technology in VCE Cyber Security
What it does: This describes the wide-area reach of mobile network coverage. Cellular towers relay mobile signals across distances. 5G followed 4G as the next generation of mobile networks. Mobile networks provide connectivity across wide geographic areas. Users generally pay for the data they use on a mobile plan. 4G came before 5G in the progression of mobile network generations. This is the core definition of mobile communications technology. Mobile networks are designed to reach far beyond a single fixed site.
Common mistakes: Mobile technology uses cellular towers, not physical cable. Mobile coverage does extend across wide geographic areas.
