Website and web page
A collection of linked web pages stored on web servers. A web page is a single document viewed in a browser, and the web is made up of many websites.
Understanding Website and web page in IGCSE Computer Science Paper 1
What it does: One website (www.school.com) holds three linked web pages, each stored as its own file. One article is a single document, so it is a web page. It belongs to the news website. Pages are stored on web servers. The browser requests them and displays them. The relationship goes from site to page: websites contain pages, not the other way around. The browser only views the page. The website's pages live on the web server.
Common mistakes: The heading opens with <h1> but closes with </h2>. Tags must match, so it should be </h1>, otherwise the web page document is badly formed. A link to another page on the website needs the href attribute, not src. It should be <a href="about.html">.
