Asking before you post a photo of someone else

A photo of someone else is part of their footprint too. Ask them before you post or tag it, and take it down if they say no or ask you to.

Understanding Asking before you post a photo of someone else in ACARA Digital Technologies Years 5–6

What it does: Asking before you tag shows respect for your friend's footprint and lets them choose. A no means the photo stays off the internet, even if you like the photo. A photo of Mia is part of Mia's digital footprint too. Always ask her before you post it. Even if you took the photo, the person in it has a footprint that the photo adds to. A tag links the photo to Noah's name and profile. Ask first so he can choose. No means no. Respecting their choice shows you care about their privacy. A good question gives the other person a real choice. Telling them is not asking.

Common mistakes: The program posts the photo before it asks. You must ask your friend first, so line 1 should be answer = ask(friend, photo). This tags your friend when they said no. You should only tag them if the answer is 'yes', so it should be if answer == 'yes':.
