Answer Key

JavaScript · Modules 41–52 · Student wording will vary for definitions
= — Assigns a default value to a parameter, used only when no argument is passed for it.
=> — A shorter syntax for writing a function, placed between the parameters and the function body.
scope — The area of code where a variable can be accessed; variables declared inside a function are local to it.
try...catch — Runs code in a try block, and if an error occurs, runs the catch block instead of crashing.
throw — Creates a custom error and immediately stops the current code from running further.
JSON.stringify() — Converts a JavaScript value into a JSON-formatted string.
class — Declares a blueprint for creating objects with shared properties and methods.
constructor — A special method inside a class that runs automatically when a new instance is created.
method — A function declared inside a class body, called on an instance using dot notation.
extends — Lets a class inherit properties and methods from another class.
new Map() — Creates a new Map, a built-in object that stores key-value pairs.
new Set() — Creates a new Set, a built-in object that stores only unique values.
