1LIKE '%at%' — LIKE in a WHERE clause matches part of a text value. The % wildcard stands for any characters, so '%at%' finds text containing at, 'S%' starts with S and '%s' ends with s.
2'10' < '9' — In a text field, '10' sorts before '9' because text sorts letter by letter. Number and date fields sort by true value, so 9 comes before 10 and dates follow time order.
3SELECT WHERE ORDER BY — Read a query one clause at a time: SELECT names which fields are shown, WHERE picks which records, and ORDER BY sets the order the results appear in.
4nested loop — A REPEAT placed inside another REPEAT. The inner loop runs all its repeats again for every repeat of the outer loop, so an outer 3 and an inner 4 gives 12 inner passes.
5pseudocode layout — Write keywords like IF, THEN, ELSE and REPEAT in capitals, one step per line, and indent the steps inside each structure so ELSE lines up with its IF.
6END IF / END REPEAT — Each IF and each REPEAT needs its own end line. Close the innermost block first, so END IF comes before END REPEAT when an IF is inside a loop. A missing end line is an error.
7decision inside a loop — A decision diamond on the loop path is asked on every pass. Its Yes and No paths both rejoin before the arrow returns to the loop test.
8Loop on the Yes path — A loop drawn on the Yes arrow of a decision diamond. It only runs if Yes is taken. The No path skips it. When the loop ends, its exit arrow rejoins the main flow.
9draw.io — A free online editor where you drag standard flowchart shapes onto the page, type text inside them and join them with connector arrows.
10flowchart TD — Starts a Mermaid script that draws a flowchart top-down. Shapes are an id plus text, like A[Step] or B{Question?}, joined by --> arrows.
